Crediting Poetry serves as one half of my capstone project for my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design at Emily Carr University. I was conducting research about poetry and truth, and the title comes from a lecture given by Seamus Heaney when he recieved the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1995. This publication examined the content of that lecture and Heaney’s work in general, as well as the larger context of the Troubles, and poetry coming out of Northern Ireland during that time. Printed on inkjet and 4-colour risograph (yellow, aqua, fluorescent pink, purple), 8.5”x11”.
